The iPhone 16e carries on Apple’s legacy of providing a seamless and high-performing smartphone usage with its upgraded 48 MP rear camera, 6.1-inch OLED display, and potent Apple A18 (3 nm) CPU.

The main features of the iPhone 16e including its performance, display, design, camera capabilities, battery life, and networking options, would all be covered in this review.

A lightweight aluminum design frames the iPhone 16e’s attractive yet robust glass back with Ceramic Shield front. With dimensions of 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.8 mm and a weight of 167 grams, the device maintains a small form factor that makes it comfortable to carry and operate.

For users who like a minimalist look, it comes in two timeless colors – White and Black. It can survive immersion in water for up to half an hour at a depth of 1.5 meters; due to its IP68 designation that provides resistance to both dust and water.

With a pixel density of 457 PPI and a resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels, the 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display provides breathtaking images. Even though the 60 Hz refresh rate is less than that of some rivals, the display nevertheless produces clear images and fluid interactions.

Excellent visibility in direct sunlight is promised by the 12000 nits brightness level and durability is increased by the oleophobic coating and scratch-resistant Ceramic Shield.

The iPhone 16e can easily handle demanding apps due to its powerful Apple A18 chipset (3 nm), a 16-core neural engine, and a hexa-core CPU (2×4.04 GHz + 4×2.20 GHz). Smooth media and gaming performance is ensured by the Apple 4-core GPU.

The iPhone 16e’s 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM allows for quick multitasking, and its 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB internal storage options provide ample of Apple room for data, media, and apps. However, customers should carefully consider their storage options because there is no microSD card slot.

Even in difficult situations, the 48 MP primary camera’s autofocus and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) ensure crisp, detailed images. Taking pictures in low light is made possible by the f/1.6 aperture.

Cinematic-quality video is produced by the 4K UHD (60 frames per second) and Full HD (240 frames per second) video recording capabilities. The photography experience is improved by extra features including Cinematic Mode, Continuous Autofocus, and Picture-Taking during Video Recording.

The 12 MP front camera with Time-of-Flight (ToF) and autofocus produces crisp, lifelike photos for selfies and video chats. High-resolution video footage is possible by its support for 4K UHD video recording at 60 frames per second.

In order to unlock the device and authorize payments, Apple has incorporated a 3D Face Unlock System that provides quick and safe facial recognition. Users are forced to use Face ID only for biometric authentication since Touch ID isn’t available.

A 4005 mAh built-in lithium-ion battery powers the iPhone 16e, offering enough endurance for a full day of moderate use. With its 20W USB Type-C (USB 2.0) wired charging capability, the gadget can be charged from 0% to 50% in roughly half an hour.

It doesn’t allow reverse wireless charging, however, it does support 7.5W Qi wireless charging. Faster wireless charging speeds would have been a wonderful feature even though the battery life is respectable.

Fast and dependable communication is ensured by the iPhone 16e’s support for several network technologies including 3G, 4G, and 5G. LTE-A and HSDPA+ (42.2 Mbit/s) allow customers to browse and stream without interruption.

It has Wi-Fi 6 with MIMO technology for wireless networking which improves range and performance. Fast and reliable connection with wireless accessories is provided by Bluetooth 5.3. In order to enhance spatial awareness and connectivity with compatible devices, Apple has also incorporated NFC and Ultra Wideband (UWB).

GPS, A-GPS, Glonass, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, NavIC, Cell ID, and Wi-Fi positioning are all supported by the iPhone 16e for navigation, ensuring accurate location tracking. For a rich audio experience, the earpiece and several speakers produce stereo sound.

Users will have to use Bluetooth or Type-C headphones because there is no 3.5mm headphone socket. The media usage experience is further improved via wireless screen sharing and noise cancellation.

A well-rounded smartphone, the Apple iPhone 16e boasts a high-end design, superb performance, a superb camera, and a long battery life.
